What is so great about this Sarah Palin parody video is
that it shows exactly why (the same way that, say Miranda July's "Me and You Everyone We Know" did -- after a career of doing this, doing that, why am I doing this again?) you should continue to create, create, create even when the results are sometimes uneven along the way.
Because then you hit it.
And you would never ever hit it if you didn't just keep doing it in the first place.
Which is exactly what Sara Benincasa did in this YouTube parody. (And yes, this blog is becoming almost exclusively devoted to providing all of your SBen needs.)
Not that S's work has ever been anything short of sheer perfection (obviously). But having done shows with her, I know that you keep trying things out, you keep trying things out, sometimes there's something, sometimes there doesn't seem to be anything, and then you hit a little bit of gold.
So this isn't just super hilar -- it's super inspirational, too.
