thanks to those folks who've asked about my family in SoCal.
As of last night my sister and her family didn't have to evacuate but they were going to find out at 2 a.m. this morning. She has one of her best friends' families staying with her along with their three kids. My parents who are in San Diego proper are fine.
Amie said it's pretty freaky, the coverage is very spotty, no one really knows anything.
Please donate here:
Thanks.
UPDATE: Talked to Amie today and she said, "We didn't have to evacuate but we've got two of my friends and their families staying with us now." So that makes eight kids in one house, unable to go outside. I heard a lot of references to "check the dress-up bin," which tickled me deeply. I miss the dress-up bin. All good thoughts their way and to everyone living there. My dad said, "Mandy, there have been reporters here covering the fires while at the same time watching their houses burn down. It's insane." I can't begin to imagine. Keep everyone in thoughts and prayers.
Love, love, love.
